On enquiry, a Welcome Pack will be given to prospective parents and carers. An introductory zoom/team meeting will be arranged with the Nursery Manager and potential new families or an onsite viewing can be arranged outside of usual business hours. This will enable parents and carers to meet with staff and view the nursery. The Manager will inform parents on all aspects of the nursery and will answer any questions parents or carers may have this will take place over the phone.

The Welcome Pack that parents and carers receive during their first contact with the setting, will have the following information:
- Pre-registration form
- Contract
- All About Me form
- Price List
- Menu
- Newsletter
- Symptomatic Child & Illness Policy
- Statement of Purpose, which documents information about the nursery, staffing, partnership with parents and carers, communication, Special Needs, Safeguarding, emergencies, activities, routines, food and drink, Illness Policy and Frequently asked questions.
This information allows parents and carers to read over the verbal information they received during their visit and make an informed, impartial decision about where this setting is right for the needs of their child and family. Places are allocated on a ‘first come, first serve basis’.
Waiting list
Nursery places are subject to availability and staffing levels. If there are no places available, parents and carers will be given the opportunity to join the waiting list. When a place becomes available within a suitable age group, parents or carers of a child at the top of the waiting list will be contacted and offered a place.

Registration
On booking your child into nursery you will be asked to complete registration, contract and All About Me form. Once registered at the nursery, parents and carers are usually offered two separate ‘settling in sessions’ for up to two hours prior to the child taking a place. However, if the Manager feels more ‘settling in’ sessions are requirement, this will be made at their discretion. Children who are attending ‘settling-in’ sessions are included in the child:adult ratio.
Prior to a child with special needs being admitted to the nursery, consultation will need to be conducted with the settings ALNCo, parents and outside agencies in order to ensure that the individual child’s need are met.
During this process no child, parent, carer or family will be discriminated against in relation to their gender, sexuality, class, family status, means, disability, colour, ethnic origin, culture, religion or belief.
Viewings
The setting will offer families on site ‘viewings’ from Friday 02.04.2021 these will be by appointment only and families will be asked to provide contact information that can be passed onto ‘Trace and Trace’ should a positive case be identified after the visit. Viewings will take place outside of normal business hours, ideally Friday after 6 p.m. or Saturday mornings. All families will be sent the most recent ‘viewings’ risk assessment before the visit.
